Still Sad, Reality TV, and TV Show Trivia Sunday!

TV Show

I used to consider myself quite the TV Nerd.  Someone who was always up to date on the latest new TV shows, along with watching TV shows that I’ve always wanted to watch, or catching up on TV shows I may have fallen behind on at some point.  I am the type of person who can only truly enjoy watching TV when I’m okay.  I know sometimes when someone is sad they go and watch TV, but not me.  If I’m sad, I don’t enjoy TV at all. When Real Life Sinks In…

Forever TV Show

As many of you already know, I haven’t felt okay for a while now.  It’s been a hectic few months and life is, and has been, just kind of a lot.  I go on a cycle of feeling okay (usually when I go out and get a random thing I don’t really need like another new book) to feeling sad, anxious, and depressed.  Real life is starting to sink in for me, and in all honesty, I am not ready for it. Continue reading “When Real Life Sinks In…”

Hello!

Manic TV Show

Hey everyone!  How am I?  Hmmm….  I’ve been up, I’ve been down.  The last few months have basically felt more or less like I’ve been on a non-stop rollercoaster.  But, this is going to be an article not about my life or my feelings, but about pop culture!  Remember the days when I mostly wrote about pop culture?  Well, this pop culture nerd is going to try and do that kind of article again!  Yeah! Continue reading “Hello!”

What Got Me Through This Week…

Russian Doll on Netflix

Hey everyone.  This past week was a bit difficult for me to get through.  Some days are better than others, and that’s just how it is sometimes, I guess.  In today’s article, I’m going to put real life to the side for the moment to talk about the things that helped get me through this past week. Continue reading “What Got Me Through This Week…”

How Am I? Well…

Been Better

In the new series, Kevin Can F Himself, the lead character of the series is asked how she’s doing.  Her response is, nobody really cares, that’s just something people ask to be polite.  Well, nobody asked, but this is an article about how I’ve been doing.   Continue reading “How Am I? Well…”

Summer Is Here!

Summer

Hey everyone!  Spring and summer are the times of year that I look forward to the most.  If I had to choose which time of the year I enjoy more, I’d probably say spring because the weather starts to get warm outside, but not too warm out.  As in, no heat waves.  Although, I do love the season of summer because swimming is a thing again, and there’s nothing better than a dip in the pool when it’s 90 degrees out but feels more like it’s over 100 degrees out. Oh, To Be A Bird…

Bird

Hey everyone.  So yeah, my articles as of late have been either about pop culture, or me talking about life and my feelings and blah, blah, blah.  And so once again I find myself putting pop culture to the side to talk about life and my feelings and blah, blah, blah.  Well, rather it’s a poem I wrote about how nice it must be to be a bird and just get to fly away. Continue reading “Oh, To Be A Bird…”

Daylight Savings Time Has Returned, But Then Again It Kind Of Never Really Left…

IMG_20190910_174838

It’s cold outside.  Pumpkin scented anything is everywhere from coffee to donuts.  Seasonal decorations are up.  That could only mean one thing.  The season of Fall is here!  There’s much to appreciate about this time of year during the season of Fall.  It’s the season where the leaves on the trees change to beautiful shades of red, orange and yellow.  It’s the season of Halloween.  It’s the season where there’s a bit of a chill in the air where it’s cold but not too cold out.  It’s the season of Thanksgiving.  There’s much to appreciate about this time of year, indeed.  Although, when the season of Fall arrives what returns along with it is, of course, the dreaded Daylight Savings Time! Life and Time… Is It Possible To Truly Appreciate A Moment In Time?

IMG_20191105_172619

In the series finale of the HBO television series Six Feet Under, the character of Nate says something that rings so very true to real life.  As his younger sister Claire is taking a picture of their family before she sets off to start a new journey in her life, Nate says to her, “You can’t take a picture of it.  It’s already gone”.  I watched this finale when it originally aired on TV, and it’s been a piece of television that has always stayed with me.  Although, it wasn’t until years later when I watched those last few moments of the finale again where I realized how true what Nate says to Claire really is.  Moments in time will always pass us by, even as we are living in those moments.  Since time is something that never stops, that continues to move forward every single second, is it possible to truly appreciate any moment we are living if time is constantly moving forward? Today’s Mood: Sad

20190122_183352

This summer was difficult.  I was sad.  I was depressed.  There were so many things that I found myself missing on a daily basis.  Most of all, I missed the feeling of feeling okay.  I missed the feeling of how today may not have been a great day, but there’s always the chance of how tomorrow could be better.
