Hello!

Manic TV Show

Hey everyone!  How am I?  Hmmm….  I’ve been up, I’ve been down.  The last few months have basically felt more or less like I’ve been on a non-stop rollercoaster.  But, this is going to be an article not about my life or my feelings, but about pop culture!  Remember the days when I mostly wrote about pop culture?  Well, this pop culture nerd is going to try and do that kind of article again!  Yeah!

What TV Shows I Have Been Watching

The last few weeks I haven’t watched much TV.  Well, let me clarify.  I have watched TV, but not nearly as much TV as I once used to watch.  Some might say that is a good thing, but for me that’s kind of a clear sign that I’m not feeling that great, but whatever to that, this is a happy kind of article!

The Dexter Revival

I saw the first episode of the Dexter revival.  Michael C. Hall is by far one of my favorite actors ever.  He was on a series in the early 2000s called Six Feet Under before he was on Dexter.  Six Feet Under will continue to always and forever be my favorite show of all time.  It’s so nice to see Hall back on TV again.  Considering how fans of Dexter were disappointed in how the original series ended, I’m super curious to see how the revival series will play out.  So far, the series has disappointed this TV Nerd, but it has only been one episode.

YOU Season 3

I told myself I would first read the third book in the YOU series and then tune into Season 3 of the show, but I read at a snail’s pace so I decided to just go ahead and watch the third season of the show and then read the book whenever.  Once I tuned into Season 3, it became somewhat clear that the third book might not have much to do with Season 3 of the TV series anyway because in the beginning credits it says the show is still based on the second book.

Season 3 does have a somewhat different feel to it than the first two seasons.  The show feels a bit more campy than before.  The third season doesn’t have as much of that edge of your seat thriller feel as it did with the first two seasons, but it’s still a very watchable show.

Ted Lasso

I have really come to like this series.  How great life would be if we could all have a friend like Ted in our lives!  I just started Season 2.  Not much else to say about this show other than it’s definitely a great show and one worth watching!

What I’m Reading

If you follow this nerd’s blog, you might remember how I said my next book read was going to be It’s Kind of a Funny Story by Ned Vizzini.  You may also remember in past articles that I’ve said how I am an indecisive bookworm when it comes to choosing a book to read.  Well, it happened folks, I changed my mind!  Instead, I decided to finally get around to reading Normal People by Sally Rooney.

I have only read ten pages so far, but I can tell I’m really going to like this book.  I have no idea how long it will take me to read this book, but if I had a reading goal it would be to finish this book before the new year.  Will that actually happen?  To be determined!

I Found Pants!

Okay, this isn’t pop culture related, but whatever, I found pants!  When it comes to clothes shopping, pants are by far the most difficult piece of clothing to actually find something I like in.  But it happened, it finally happened, I found two pairs of pants I actually like!  Granted, one pair of the pants are a bit too long and I have to roll it up a bit, but the material on both pairs of pants are so nice and they actually seem to fit, so that’s nice.

Before I go!  What TV shows, movies, or books are your current favorites?

That’s it for today!  Thanks for tuning in!  Until Next Time!
