Hey everyone! Riverdale is one of my favorite shows, but this year after watching a few episodes I decided to do something I’ve never done with this show before. I decided after tuning into a handful of episodes to stop watching the season weekly on the CW and just wait until the season was over and watch it on Netflix. The Season 5 Finale of Riverdale aired on the CW well over a week ago now, and yet Season 5 of Riverdale is still not up on Netflix! What is going on?
That’s a good question! I have no idea why the latest season of Riverdale is still not on Netflix. After a show on the CW has its season finale the series usually appears about a week later on Netflix. So, it’s quite a mystery to me as to why Riverdale’s latest season isn’t on Netflix yet because it should have been up on Netflix this past Thursday.
On Netflix there’s a section where you can see what shows will be premiering throughout the current week as well as the week ahead, and as of now Riverdale Season 5 is not listed to premiere this week or next week. I am so confused by all of this.
Maybe there is a new deal between the CW and Netflix that I am not aware of for the series Riverdale. Or maybe Netflix will be premiering Season 5 and Season 6 together, hence possibly explaining why Season 5 is still not up. I don’t know. Once again, I’m confused.
A big reason as to why I am bummed about missing this season on the CW is that this year the musical episode featured music from one of my favorite Broadway shows ever, Next to Normal. I can not wait to see this musical episode of Riverdale, which I understand also serves as the Season 5 Finale. I can’t wait to see how the songs were filmed, and what characters sang what songs. Where are you, Season 5 of Riverdale on Netflix?! This Musical Theater Nerd needs to see the musical episode for Season 5 like now!
This article was kind of just to vent, but also if any of you out there know the answer to why Riverdale Season 5 is not yet up on Netflix, do tell, because this TV Nerd is super curious to know why.
